A full-property project combining kitchen and bathroom cabinet refinishing, a whole-home interior repaint, and exterior fence staining and siding work.

Project Summary

This Austin, TX 78727 project brought a full-property refresh to a home on Pegasus St, combining three phases of work: cabinet refinishing in the kitchen and master bathroom, a whole-home interior repaint across nine rooms, and exterior work including fence staining and siding painting.

In the kitchen, 23 cabinet doors and 11 drawers were refinished, along with 5 doors and 7 drawers in the master bathroom. Inside, walls, trim, and closets were repainted throughout the master bedroom, master bathroom, entry way, living room, breakfast area and kitchen pantry, hallway, bathroom, and both additional bedrooms. Outside, the backyard fence was stained on both sides, transforming it from a weathered gray to a rich red, and siding was repainted on the right side of the home and around the chimney.

Materials & Process

The exterior siding and fence areas were repainted and stained using Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint / Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec Exterior. Cabinet doors and drawers were professionally refinished on their outward-facing surfaces, and interior walls and trim throughout the home were repainted with up to two coats for full, even coverage.

Before exterior painting, the crew power washed the home, caulked wood-to-wood joints and filled holes, scraped or sanded any loose or flaking paint, and masked and protected all surfaces not being painted.
