Round Rock, Texas, is a city located in the central part of the state. It is a suburb of Austin, and its proximity to the state capital means that there’s always a lot going on. It is part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. The city has over 100,000 people and is known for its family-friendly events and festivals.

Some of the most popular Round Rock, TX festivals include the Main Street Fest, the Pecan Street Festival, and the Liberty Fest.

The Liberty Fest is held every July to commemorate the anniversary of America’s independence. The event features a car show with both classic and modern cars on display, a large parade through the streets of downtown Round Rock complete with floats and marching bands, fireworks shows during both evenings of the celebration that are open to the public, and musical performances featuring several nationally-recognized recording artists.

One of the most popular events is the Pecan Street Festival. This spring festival celebrates Texans, from art to food and culture. The Pecan Street Festival is held in July each year and celebrates Independence Day and the birthday of the city.

Visitors can enjoy live performances by local musicians and browse through arts and crafts booths representing local nonprofit organizations, including the Round Rock Public Library, the Williamson County Humane Society, and Habitat for Humanity. They also have a chance to taste and sample some of the best food that Texas has to offer. In addition to all of this, it’s a great way for the community to come together and support local businesses.

Every year, this college football rivalry game is played at the Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin. Even though it’s not technically a “festival,” many events are going on downtown to celebrate the annual event, with many bars opening early for pregame festivities. Many people from all over Texas will make their way to Austin this weekend to take part in celebrating this classic cross-state rivalry.

The Main Street Fest is held annually in April. It includes:

A children’s area

Live entertainment from local musicians.

An extensive carnival

Another popular festival is the Battle of Flowers Parade, every April. More than 50,000 people attend the parade each year to watch as over 3,500 participants from more than 100 different groups march through downtown Round Rock. It’s easy to see why this event brings everyone out into the streets.

Although not technically festivals, both the Texas/OU Weekend, which features one of the greatest rivalries in college football every year at the DKR Stadium located in Austin, and Liberty Weekend, commemorating America’s independence, are big events that bring people out into Round Rock. Both events also include other attractions like car shows and fireworks displays that offer fun for entire families.

In recent years, even more events have been added to enhance this already vibrant cultural scene. Many individuals around the country are familiar with South by Southwest (SXSW), a popular music, film, and interactive festival held in Austin each year.

In 2016, they announced that Round Rock would be home to an additional SXSW event called Sound on Sound later that month. This 3-day festival will host bands from all over the country, as well as gaming tournaments, virtual reality experiences, and art displays.
