Barn-Style Home Exterior Repaint — County Rd 290, Leander, TX

A full four-side exterior repaint of a barn-style metal and wood-sided home, matched to the existing color for a refreshed, like-new finish.

Project Summary

This Leander, TX project was a full exterior repaint of a barn-style home on County Rd 290, refreshing the front, back, left, and right sides of the home's siding, soffit, and fascia. The homeowner wanted the distinctive red barn color kept exactly as-is, so Hill Country Painting matched the existing color and sheen rather than introducing a new palette.

The crew also handled a few carpentry repairs identified during the walkthrough, including securing and caulking a loose back panel and replacing a damaged 2x2 trim piece on the right side, before applying the final topcoat.

Scope of Work

Materials & Process

Exterior siding, soffit, and fascia on all four sides of the home were power washed, scraped and sanded to remove loose or flaking paint, and repaired where needed before priming and topcoat. The home was finished using Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint and Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec exterior products, matched to the existing color and sheen at heights of up to 22 feet along the barn-style elevations.

All wood-to-wood joints were caulked and surfaces not being painted were masked and protected throughout the project.
